About Community Radio

Radio is a social medium, fostering participation and engagement, in people’s own home languages. Radio goes where newer technologies can’t. Beyond electricity, beyond a mobile signal.

It reaches rich and poor alike: Educated, uneducated, young. old. Every tribe, every region, each gender and race. Programs are broadcast in local languages – whether it’s nutrition information for mothers, medical updates for health workers, how to avoid a viral infection during an outbreak, conservation farming for farmers, or school lessons for children.

MITS Radio 90.8 CRS is designed with a vision to provide the most recent updates of science and technological advancements. It connects the listeners through the realm of sound waves. It is designed to empower the grassroots of the community. To develop the scientific temper, creating awareness about the sanitation, health, hygiene and educate the general masses of the community are the main objectives. The empowerment of the women, farmers and the children is the pivotal objective. MITS Radio 90.8 CRS strongly believes that Change is the need of the hour, that change can be brought by disseminating the related information to the masses.
